Musici Ireland


An accomplished chamber ensemble based in Ireland approached us needing a new brand identity, website design, photography and printed materials for various events. As a group of 12 core musicians and several featured guest performances, the ensemble had a range of different audiences to reach and communicate their offering to.

Through our research and analysis we formed a brand strategy that positioned the ensemble as a collaboration between the most talented musicians in Ireland, who offer a flexible chamber music ensemble to suit any venue size, from full orchestra to stringed trio. With this strategy in place we focussed our exploration on visual solutions that would communicate collaboration and flexibility.

We developed a strong classical music brand design that illustrated a musical stave, flowing and weaving to form the silhouette outline of various different musical instruments. The stave also plays a part in the logo design, forming a curvy and confident M for Musici.

Our main intent for the new website was to tell the story of Musici Ireland, introduce the musicians and showcase the ensemble’s offering. We fully considered the site structure and user flow to ensure we achieved an intuitive design and user friendly website.

The new dynamic and memorable brand design perfectly visualises the ensemble’s values and personality. We love how the stave illustrations interact with content, overlapping to create depth and movement. This attention to detail ensures that every aspect of the design is holistically linked and the consistency reflects the quality musicianship.

Our brand identity design has adapted flexibly across different formats and channels, giving the group a platform to promote their concerts and events with confidence.
